BLOGMAS continues!!!

Tschuldi'. I had to go on an involuntary hiatus. * hangs head in shame * While my time away from here was brief what I was going through felt like an eternity. I was trying really hard to balance posting, keeping up with friends & family in the States and readying my house for the new year. I was also tying up loose ends like going on several doctors visits and ramping up the arsenal in our pantry. We were running around and also receiving packages left and right. I did a shitton of baking which occupied my time for almost three days straight. There is a more valid reason I was away but I am saving that for a future post. I am trying to dive deep and be a bit more transparent this year. I've been slowly transitioning into that voice. This, my entry on racism, was my first stab at it and I was floored to see this, a progressive post on outright racism in the Ausländerbehörde shared by Each One Teach One a few days later. I really hope readership increases because while my schtick is complaining with a sense of humor, I need people to engage with me so I can pivot into advice. My ultimate wish is to provide it but I also desperately need it. I can inform people around my experiences all day. I can provide a guidebook to those uniform processes that go hand in hand with being an expat. But I truly need and want people to chime in on the unusual. This past week has been full of unusual experiences even four years in to living in Germany. It left me wondering am I alone in this. So with that being said I will continue to try to blog daily as promised for at least fifteen days into 2021. I wanna see some traction dammit!
